Question – Do You Dry The Sofa’s ?

The post explains that cold air dryers are used to dry sofas and upholstery, but items will still remain wet and need natural drying, which varies in time depending on material and weather conditions. It advises against using warm air sources for drying to prevent material hardening.

Hi all, this is a question we get asked on a regular basis. We do use cold air dryers on your sofas and all upholstery to help the drying process but they will be still wet and will need to dry naturally. We cannot say how long it will take for them to dry. Type of material and warm or cold day are to factors.

Cold air dryers are used rather than warm air as warm air may make the material go hard. Like putting a wet towel on a warm radiator. Its for this reason we recommend you do not put cushions outside to dry on a warm day or against a hot radiator on a cold day.
