How to deal with pet urine stains on your carpets.

The first thing NOT to do when dealing with urine on your carpets.

First and foremost, DO NOT PANIC. If the urine is still wet then you need to blot the stain up using paper towels or some sort of absorbent material. The key word here is BLOT, do not rub the stain as it may spread.

Please DO NOT use store bought products, washing up liquid or similar on your carpets.

The second thing you need to do.

Lightly spray tonic water or soda water onto the stain and wait for about 20 seconds. Blot the stain again with a towel and you should start to see the urine transfer to your towel. Repeat if required.

The third and final thing to do.

If there is still some of the staining on the carpet then mix 1 tea spoon of white distilled vinegar into a tea cup of tepid water, dip a white towel into the cup and blot the stain until it has been removed or has lightened.

If this does not work then you need to arrange a cleaning with us but we will never guarantee full removal of the stain.
